URBAN GAME EDITION II

On 3 June 2022, we invite you to an adventure on the borderline of fun and science which is a city game, i.e. wandering around the building of the Faculty of Chemistry combined with competitions and prizes. Students' Scientific Groups of the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdańsk: Scientific Circle of Environmental Protection, Scientific Circle of Chemical Business and Scientific Circle of Chemists, as well as the Council of the Student Government of the Faculty of Chemistry, UG will present the world of chemistry, which curiosity, inspiration and amazement. You will be pipetting, pouring, mixing, kneading, crystallising, precipitating, observing unusual reaction processes between two substances, which will result in the creation of something completely different - jelly babies, jelly beans, jellyfish, artificial snow, cake batter. Lots of tasks and experiments await you, such as analysing the starch and protein content of foodstuffs such as nuts, crisps, breadsticks, cucumbers, sausages and beans. In addition, a puzzle on how to tell the difference between jelly and kisel? Constructing interesting electrical circuits with which to convert thermal energy into electrical energy and vice versa, detecting radioactive elements by means of a counter to measure radiation on the example of several objects, a crossword puzzle with biotechnology slogans, technological Taboo, identifying odorous substances in beakers and much more.
