Number and area of lecture and exercise rooms

There is a team of auditoriums (a total of 800 m²) consisting of five rooms, four for 98 people each (including 2 wheelchair spaces) and one for 234 people (including 6 wheelchair spaces) in the building of the Faculty of Chemistry. In all auditoriums, it is possible to perform chemical shows. The team has its own open staircase, uses the cloakroom and sanitary hall of the Faculty.

The building also has 10 seminar and lecture halls for 50 people each, 14 seminar rooms for 30 people each, with a total area of 800 m². Each room is equipped with a multimedia projector, 6 rooms have interactive whiteboards, and large auditoriums are additionally equipped with sound system.

Laboratories - number of positions

There are 24 student laboratories for 12 positions each, with a total area of 2700 m² and a technological hall (120 m²) with 24 teaching stations (chemical technology, environmental engineering and others) in the building of the Faculty of Chemistry. Students of the 2nd and 3rd degree also benefit from scientific studios. In the building there are 190 scientific laboratories with a total area of 7000 m². All laboratories (didactic and scientific) are equipped with modern laboratory furniture and fume cupboards from Flores Valles. The equipment is made in accordance with the safety standards EN 1729 and UNI/EN 12727. Each laboratory is equipped with deionized water collection points (central installations), special gas installations (nitrogen, argon, helium, dedicated gas), compressed air point, And VAV systems for automatic ventilation control. 

Computer labs - number of positions

There are 3 computer studios for 12 positions each with a total area of 150 m² in the building of the Faculty of Chemistry. In the building, students also have at their disposal 6 "quiet learning" rooms equipped with 30 computer sets.

Book collection of the Faculty of Chemistry

The collections of the Faculty of Chemistry are printed in the Main Library, in the vicinity of the Faculty of Chemistry and count: Books - 3,726 titles in the field of chemistry, 2,323 titles in the field of environmental protection. Magazines - 154 titles in the field of chemistry, 103 titles in the field of environmental protection. The Faculty of Chemistry has online access to electronic collections of books and scientific journals offered by: American Chemical Society, Annual reviews, Reaxys, Royal Society of Chemistry, Science Direct (database of journals published by Elsevier), Springer, Wiley Blackwell, Academic Search complete and many other titles available from publishers. A significant part of these collections are magazines dedicated to the field of "Environmental Sciences". The most important databases of e-books are: Academic Research eBooks Library (I) chemistry – 9,455 titles (ii) environmental protection – 15,480 titles. Academic complete (I) chemistry – 24,830 titles, (ii) environmental protection – 134 titles. Springer, (I) chemistry – 8,945 titles, (ii) environmental protection – 1,311 titles.
