Diploma subjects
Diploma courses - CHEMISTRY, second cycle studies
Immediately after the recruitment process, the first-year students choose the Department/Department/Lab in which they will pursue their studies:
- in sem. 2: specialisation lecture and specialisation laboratory
- in sem. 3.: monograph lecture, master thesis and master seminar
- in sem. 4.: monograph lecture, master's thesis and master's seminar
Information related to the research topics pursued in the individual Departments/Labs can be found on their home pages.
At the same time, students also declare their willingness to pursue the optional "Teacher Training Module", the completion of which confers on graduates the right to practice as chemistry teachers in all types of schools.
The specialisation lecture and the two monograph lectures are compulsory for students doing their master's thesis in the respective unit (Department/Department/ Lab), and are elective (optional) subjects for other students.
The specialisation lab prepares the student to do the master's thesis. The student carries out the master's thesis during the master's thesis laboratory lasting two semesters, under the individual supervision of the thesis supervisor. During the preparation of the master's thesis, the student attends a master's seminar to support and monitor the execution of the thesis. The student presents the results obtained in the form of a written master's thesis, which is reviewed by a member of staff from another Department/Department/School.
The Master's degree programme ends with a Master's examination.
