The subjects of Master theses

Master theses scope

Laboratories of the Department of Molecular Biotechnology invite 1st and 2nd year students of  Master courses to join Diploma Laboratory course in the following scope:

  • Artificial genes and regulatory elements construction. New plasmid vectors construction.

  • Environmental samples screening for new sequences encoding enzymatic proteins.

  • Cloning, protein engineering and isolation of an active recombinant protein.

  • Metal-affinity sequence cloning.

  • Gene expression resulting resriction endonuclease or other protein biosynthesis.

  • Research on the effects of gene mutations and resulting changes in the enzymatic activity of a protein.

  • Site specific mutagenesis of the enzymatic protein genes, analysing functional effects of the mutations.

  • Isolation and comparison of protein mutants.

  • Restriction endonucleases domains identification and function analysis.

  • Peptides applications in cosmetics

  • Peptide enkephalinase inhibitors
