Professor Z. Smiatacz's benefis

On 30 March 2011 at the Department of Sugar Chemistry UG held a formal meeting with Professor Zygfried Smiatacz, a precursor of sugar chemistry at the University of Gdańsk, an outstanding scientist, a specialist in organic chemistry, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry (1978-1981). The meeting was organized on the 45th anniversary of the defence of his doctoral thesis, which took place at the Higher School of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Katowice. The promotor was prof. dr hab. Janusz Sokołowski.
