Diploma courses
Diploma courses - ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION, second-cycle studies
Immediately after the recruitment process, first-year students choose the Department/Department/Studio where they will complete the so-called diploma subject block. The place where the diploma subject block will be realised will be the Faculty of Biology, the Faculty of Chemistry or the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography, depending on the choice of the Chair/Department/Studio. Information related to the research subjects pursued in the individual Departments/Divisions/Schools can be found on their home pages.
The diploma block consists of the following subjects:
- in sem. 2: seminar and specialization workshop
- in sem. 3: master seminar and master thesis
- in sem. 4: master seminar and master thesis
The specialisation studio and seminar prepare the student for the completion of the master's thesis in the Department/Laboratory of his/her choice. The student carries out the master's thesis during the master's thesis laboratory lasting two semesters, under the individual supervision of the thesis supervisor. During the preparation of the master's thesis, the student attends a master's seminar to support and monitor the execution of the thesis. The student presents the results obtained in the form of a written master's thesis, which is reviewed by a member of staff from another Department/Workshop.
Second-cycle studies end with a master's exam.
