MSc studies

Students of the second degree studies - all specialties - choose immediately after the end of recruitment the Department or Department in which they intend to do their Master's thesis and at the same time implement the block of subjects related to it:

  •     specialization lecture,
  •     specialization workshop,
  •     master's seminar,
  •     master's workshop (studio)

The selection of the Department/Research Centre is made on the basis of the information - concerning the proposed research topic - published on the homepage of the given Department/Research Centre.

We cordially invite you to do your master's thesis in our Laboratory.

Our offer is addressed to students of all specialties. The subject of the work carried out in our Laboratory concerns the broadly understood field, which is carbohydrate chemistry. A detailed description of the subject can be found under the subject of research, right next to the name of the employee of our Laboratory. In addition to purely experimental work, the Sugar Chemistry Laboratory also offers the possibility to perform computational work based on theoretical chemistry methods, including quantum chemistry methods or semi-empirical approach. Master's theses students perform in the laboratories of the Laboratory.

In the Laboratory of Sugar Chemistry, which is part of the Department of Organic Synthesis, monographic lectures and master’s seminars are conducted jointly by these two units.

To address the problems related to the choice of elective subjects and the need to obtain the appropriate number of ECTS credits, we suggest choosing a specific subject path in which the elective subjects are related thematically. While respecting the principle of complete freedom of choice, choosing the right set of subjects will facilitate the realization of the master's thesis in our Laboratory.
