- Synthesis, physicochemical and biological properties of transition metal complex compounds (A. Tesmar)
- The use of fluorescence spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectrophotometry to study interactions between macromolecular compounds (proteins, DNA) and selected stable radicals, metal ions, biologically active compounds, analgesics, complex compounds and surfactants (K. Żamojć)
- Synthesis, structure and properties of betulin and diosgenin D-glycosaminosides. Functionalization of the amino group in the obtained glycosides (H. Myszka)
- Application of the Mitsunobu reaction in the synthesis of O-amino derivatives of D-glycosaminosides (H. Myszka)
Current research issues of the Laboratory of Advanced Oxidation Processes include the following main trends:
- Obtaining new nanomaterials for photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical removal of micropollutants from waters
- Study of the mechanism of pharmaceuticals degradation in the photocatalysis or photoelectrocatalysis process; assessment of toxicity and biodegradability of the resulting products
- Investigation of photocatalytic activity of hybrid materials with carbon nanostructures; the role of ionic liquids in the synthesis of nanomaterials
- Synthesis and application of bismuth semiconductors for photocatalytic production of biofuels
- The fate of microplastics in the environment.
