Scientific and research activity
The individual tabs contain information on the comprehensive research projects carried out in the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Complex Compounds, as well as the scientific achievements of the Laboratory members.
Current research topics of the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Complex Compounds include:
- Synthesis, physicochemical and biological properties of transition metal complex compounds (PhD A. Tesmar)
- The use of fluorescence spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectrophotometry to study interactions between macromolecular compounds (proteins, DNA) and selected stable radicals, metal ions, biologically active compounds, analgesics, complex compounds and surfactants (PhD Eng. K. Żamojć)
- Synthesis, structure and properties of betulin and diosgenin D-glycosaminosides. Functionalization of the amino group in the obtained glycosides (dr hab. H. Myszka, prof. UG)
- Application of the Mitsunobu reaction in the synthesis of O-amino derivatives of D-glycosaminosides (dr hab. H. Myszka, prof. UG)
- Investigation of mechanisms of fluorescence quenching of various fluorophores with the use of stable nitroxyl radicals (K. Żamojć, PhD Eng.).
