Kinga Nimz laureate of the BioLAB 2023-2024 Programme

We are thrilled to announce that Kinga Nimz, a student of the Faculty of Chemistry, has been selected as a laureate of the BioLAB Program 2023-2024 organized by the Polish-American Fulbright Commission!

Kinga is a first-year master's student in the new Digital Chemistry specialization and will have the opportunity to spend a year on an internship at the University of Virginia, where she will develop her interests in biology and chemistry. The BioLAB Program is aimed at outstanding students of chemistry, biology, and related sciences who want to develop their research skills and gain practical experience in laboratories at the best universities in the United States. The results of research conducted during the internship often become the basis for articles published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, such as "Nature", "Proteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics", and "Acta Crystallographica." BioLAB Program scholars also take an active part in the life of the American university, participating in seminars, guest lectures, and getting to know American culture.

We warmly congratulate Kinga and wish her fruitful work and unforgettable experiences during her stay at the University of Virginia!
